Shane Barner

Game, Animation, & Simulation Design

Artist Biography: Shane Barner was raised in Fordyce, Arkansas. As a child, Shane enjoyed series such as Star Wars, which he found machines and weapons used in the series to be fascinating. One day he decided to try drawing some of the things from his favorite shows and ever since, he fell in love with drawing. He did not stop only at drawing things from movies and television series he also drew the things around himself. Later on in middle school and early high school, Shane found himself going through some hard times. To help distract himself he found another joy in life, which was video games. They helped to send him into these different worlds and amazing worlds. Although his drive and love for drawing had faltered slightly he still found himself taking every kind of art class his high school could offer. Then his senior year he found himself in a dilemma as to what to do after high school. He then stumbled upon the game, simulation and animation major at Southern Arkansas University. Where he found himself falling in love again but this time it was 3D modeling and more specifically hard surface modeling. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
